Chops, Charm, and Cheating - making solo bits easy

Montgomery & Cooke are teaching a four week class on creating variety bits for solo or duo performers. This class is geared toward any type of performers who want to develop multiple new original pieces.

It’s all about you: creating short solo pieces that showcase your unique voice.

Montgomery & Cooke are Becky Eldridge and Jamie Buell, 2 long-time collaborators who write and perform original variety show acts as the characters of Lorraine Montgomery & Paddie Cooke.

Montgomery & Cooke were founded on the idea that anyone can do bits, with what they have around them. Learn how to write songs, do movement-based solo pieces, and solo sketches from the notions you have late at night.
The class will be very interactive, and allow students to showcase their new pieces on stage, as part of the weekly variety show, "Montgomery and Cooke are: Happy to See You."

Class will take place on Thursdays May 4, 11, 18 & 25
6:30-8:00 pm at Laugh Out Loud Chicago
